Mount Bachelor ski resort is a ski resort located in central Oregon, approximately 22 miles (35 km) west of Bend, along the Century Drive Highway. The ski runs are on the northern face of Mount Bachelor, a huge cinder cone volcano atop the Cascade Range. Behind Vail, Mt Bachelor is the largest ski resort by area and the second largest ski mountain in the US. As a destination ski resort, Bachelor has recently become the sixth largest of all ski resorts in the nation.
