The island of Kauai is paradise on earth, an unspoiled world for the adventurous with an iconic coastline of fluted cliffs, waterfalls, valleys, lush green mountainsides, coral reefs, long sandy beaches of hidden coves and year round beauty with mild temperatures and long days of sunshine.

The oldest island in the Hawaii chain, Kauai has a rich history. On the South Shore just west of Koloa is the small town of Hanapepe with many authentic historic buildings and known today as the art capital of Kauai. Lihue is home to the Grove Farm Homestead Museum, a 100 acre sugar plantation and the Kauai Museum which preserves many historical Native Hawaiian artifacts.

The East side of Kauai Coconut Coast has golden beaches scattered with Coconut Palms. Watch the whales or surf the waves at Kealia Beach. Wailua offers many outdoor activities, visit the Opaekaa Falls, kayak the Wailua River or hike the Nounou Mountains.

North Shore

Explore the North Shore on scenic roads with breathtaking coastal vistas, expansive views of the islands mountains and a rural and scenic landscape. The upmarket resort town of Princeville is situated among lush sea cliffs overlooking Hanalei Bay. Zipline at 1200 feet over lush valleys and tree tops, hike or horseback ride to a waterfall for a leisurely picnic. The charming and peaceful Hanalei Town lies to the west of Princeville. Explore the art galleries and historic places, unwind on one of the championship golf courses and end your day with a perfect view of a scenic sunset from the historic Hanalei Pier.

The NaPali coast, the Jewel of Kauai is Kauais iconic coastline with a 15 mile stretch of panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Indulge in a boat, kayak or air tour of this spectacular coastline. Much of this coastline is only accessible on the Kalalau Trail. The trail runs 11 miles from Kee Beach to Kalalau Beach.

Stroll through the orchards of The Koloa Estate, the largest coffee farm in the US to sample some of the finest Hawaiian coffees. Be sure to drive the scenic coastal route to the Lawai Valley, home to Kauais two National Tropical Botanical Gardens, McBryde Garden and Allerton Garden.
